¶50 I concur in our opinion because it correctly applies the law to the facts of this case. In doing so, however, I also join Justice Rice’s concurring opinion. Indeed, it is ironic that injured workers, dependent on a “self administering” insurance system that is “designed to minimize reliance upon lawyers and the courts,” need lawyers and courts to avoid being sandbagged by statutes and DOLI standard form agreements that are little more than traps for the unwary and unsophisticated.
