specially concurring:

While I agree that appellant’s conviction should be affirmed, I write separately only to comment in relation to appellant’s fifth assignment of error concerning prosecuto-rial misconduct. I feel the record should be clear that Ms. Chandler was questioned during direct examination by the prosecutor about her prior inconsistent testimony. (Tr. 86, 87) Such impeachment of a witness by the party offering the evidence is proper. See Smith v. State, 766 P.2d 1007, 1008 (Okl.Cr.1988). Thus, the references made during closing argument were proper comment on the evidence.
