concurs with note: I join the majority opinion but pause to reiterate the remarks expressed in Jackson v. State, 877 S.W.2d 768, 772 (Tex.Cr.App.1994) (Baird and Overstreet, JJ., concurring). Appellate counsel would be well advised and appellants would be better served, if claims of ineffective assistance of counsel were not raised on direct appeal but rather in applications seeking habeas corpus relief.
