December 12, 1997
Before DUHÉ, DeMOSS, and DENNIS, Circuit Judges.
PER CURIAM:*
Counsel for Hashim A. Muhammad has filed a brief as required
by Anders v. California, 386 U.S. 738 (1967), alleging that there
are no meritorious issues for appeal. Our independent review of
the brief and record discloses no nonfrivolous issue. Accordingly,
Muhammad’s motion for appointment of new counsel is denied, counsel
is excused from further responsibilities herein, and the APPEAL IS
DISMISSED.
